INTRO PROJECT 2: TEXTURING AN AIRCRAFT!

This is a reference sheet of different planes and air-crafted textures, etc pertaining to how I want my aircraft to head towards. The back story of this is that my TOY AIRCRAFT (with Disney influence) has been used, and now trapped under the bed for several months (being that this kid has gotten "new toys").. Looking forward to UV unwrapping this bad boy, and it'll come out nice. Hopefully Maya can cooperate this time lol.

PROJECT 1: FINISHED, TEXTURED MINIGUN!

Hiya! This is my finished product of my "paintball-textured" minigun! I actually had alot of fun with the texturing, and personalizing the minigun my professor modeled. As far as my backstory for this gun, I wanted to go for something different: an abandoned, paintball minigun! Why not, right? I incorporated scratches, scars, burns, rusts, paint layers, peeling paint, etc. AND I even added indications of dirt to show aging and what not. These are my results of my two UV sets capturing all three of my Diffuse (color map), Specularity, and Normal maps, ALONG with my results.

NEW ORIGINAL RIG: PAINTING WEIGHTS!

This is a continuation of my second project for my Dynamics and Simulation class where we're in the process of rigging our original characters. I just added, labeled, and color-coded the controls so its easier to grab/differentiate the joints. Now, I'm painting the skin weights (which are a pain lol.) But its all coming along! I'll post another update as soon as I start animating on Cobb Dracula_Rig.

INTRO TO PROJECT 2!: DESIGN & MODELING CHARACTER!

Hiya mates! Had good results and critiquing from my last project, and now we're moving forward to some fun, new challenges in my Dynamics and Simulation class. Firsthand, I needed a name to help me build a relationship with my character, you know? So I took a break from class to run down the the student lounge where my boyfriend usually plays cards, and asked for creative names... Narrowed it down to either "Count Cornula" OR "Cobb Dracula?"

MOTION BOARD: Project 1, completed!

Besides  frustration with the nCloth in Maya, I created an animation board that's looks cool. HDRI Lighting is the best! Plus, this Dynamics and Simulation class is pretty dope, being that I can still "animate" inanimate objects (bring them to life!) Here's my board I modeled and lighted in Maya. First my first time working with the nCloth, cool results huh?

RENDERING MOTION BOARD IN AFTER EFFECTS!

My render for my Motion Board in my Dynamics and Simulation class has come out great! I love that I used the HDRI Image Based Lighting. (Gives off a realistic visual that's pleases the eye!) I'll post the video soon, after I render this in After Effects.

CONT.. TEXTURE EDITING UV SNAPSHOTS IN PHOTOSHOP!

This is an update of my UV Texture editing in Photoshop. Paintball Minigun theme is what I'm going for. Not everything is textured just yet, so this is a snap of my work in progress.

EDITING UV SNAPSHOTS INTO PHOTOSHOP

This is me screen-shooting my progress as I take my UV Snapshots into Photoshop, and creating selection layers so its easier for me to select, enhance, and manipulate my textures.

UV UNWRAPPING A MINI GUN

Been working on UV unwrapping my paintball Mini Gun. Took some time, being that Maya is a pain in the butt, however progress is being made. -- Audrey!

MINI GUN IMAGE REFERENCES

Okay! So wasn't sure what to back story to go off from, being that I don't know anything about guns haha. But I do love the idea of paint-balling, so I wanted to go with that theme: differ materials, textured metal, peeling-off old paint, etc.. Like, an old paintball minigun that was lost several months. (...and let's just say it was in the "lost and found" lol. I can do that. Right?
This is the reveal of my first project of my Dynamics and Simulation class I both modeled and animated, and I am looking forward to the challenge you guys! It's different, far from animating characters, but this time, its like a 3D-version of creating Shape Layers/Transitions in After Effects CC! I am going to LOVE adding dynamics to this animated board later on...
