CONT. WATER WELL PROJECT: CREATING TEXTURES IN PHOTOSHOP!

I keep changing and  adding my textures onto my Resident Evil water well. This started as my favorite, but I can't begin to tell you which is. My Jungle Book 2016 is pretty fun to make, and much easier to apply (now that I got the hang of creating textures in photoshop and importing back to Maya). I'm actually considering adding an Ambient Occlusions to these wells so it'll give it more shade and depth. EVEN AFTER I RENDER THESE IN MARESET! Can't wait!

CONT. WATER WELL PROJECT: MARIO GALAXY THEME!

Here's a work in progress of my Mario Galaxy water well, and I little of my Resident Evil. I am now importing my UV snapshots into Photoshop and painting my textures FREE-HANDED, so it's pretty fun to see what you're capable of in literally creating your own textures. I wanted to go a little different this time though. I didn't want the typical brick well, so I figured, "why not use a pipe!?" I thought and I thought and I thought what could possibly FIT into the world of Mario Galaxy, and I love the idea of the Toad heads (spots), and Yoshi encounters, and the grass of the Mario world. So I figured I'd incorporate all in which onto this well. Does it scream Mario to you? Hope it does.

INTRO TO FINAL PROJECT: UV UNWRAPPING A WATER WELL!

Hiya again! We've been introduced to our new and FINAL project for the quarter. Professor given us an OBJ file of a Water Well that we have to UV unwrap and texture: only THIS time, we have the capability to choose from 3 categories: a cartoonish game, an realistic game, and a film or our choice. So in time, I decided with  Mario Galaxy, Resident Evil, and Jungle Book (2016, Cinema 4D). Here's my UV snapshot in Maya , along with my reference sheet for the three themes of my wells.

FINISHED UV UNWRAPPING AIRCRAFT!

Mannnnnnn, this aircraft was a huge pain to unwrap lol. It wasn't really "difficult", it just took more patience this time in contrast to the minigun. Being that there's MANY little pieces, and bigger parts to cut up, that's where the time is laid (even placing the layout of these three UV sets took A WHILE. Can't wait to start taking into Photoshop to start my textures!
