Meet the Purple Ace!

Meet the Purple Ace!

Hiya! Been awhile since I posted. Been a little busy between the move and all, and still new to this speed drawing video thing lol. But here's my giraffe I sketched the other day, and started the coloring process. Giraffes are my favorite animal/wildlife. Their elegance and height has deeper meaning. Can't wait to finish this soon!

This is my final project from my ‪#‎DynamicsSimulation‬ class where we had to model, animate a missile shooting through an obstacle course (making contact with an object that will shatter/explode). The focus was mainly on the smoke launch, smoke trail, shatter, and explosion. Difficult tasks lol, but with little help, and HOURS of rendering, my results. <3

FINISHED TEXTURING MY WATER WELLS IN MARMOSET!!

I MUST SAY... I totally had fun creating these textures for these wells! The object was to make each one of them different as possible with different themes are its clear I've achieved this lol! As you scroll down below, I labeled which wells belong to who, and hopefully you can agree! If I had to choose, I would say the Resident Evil one would have to be my favorite all because (not only do the textures give it the look) but the lighting sets the mood, and its what I admire the most about it. What do you guys think? Which ones are yours? - Audrey!

IMPORTING WELL MODEL OBJ INTO MARMOSET!

THIS IS MY FIRST TIME WORKING IN MARMOSET! I totally am like in-love with this program. It literally brings the textures to life, and realistic feel. These textures here are the Resident Evil, Mario Galaxy, and the Jungle Book. In the resident Evil scene, I hope to make it cool, dark, and slight dramatic to fit the mood. For the Jungle Book, I want the sunlight casting effect, and for the Mario Galaxy, the typical happy, plastic feel mood (if that makes any sense).

MAILBOX QUIZ! (for class)

Walked into class with the opportunity to redo my Mailbox quiz for a better grade. We had to UV unwrap the mailbox, (downside: ALOT of TRIANGLES!), find textures that we want our mailbox to portray and what not, and take the time to build up the textures in layers. But hey, I was able to get the job done, better than the first haha. Applied the bump, spec, and extra detail on the mailbox.

FINISHED CREATING MY TEXTURED, WATER WELL MAPS: DIFFUSE, SPEC, AND BUMP MAPS!

Here are my texture maps for the following three categories: cartoonish theme of Mario Galaxy, realistic theme of Resident Evil, and a film of my choice which came out to be the new and beautiful Jungle Book 2016 flim. Did my specular maps in Photoshop and my Diffuse & Bumps within Crazy Bump (awesome program!) Can't wait to work in Marmeset for the FIRST TIME during class!

CONT. WATER WELL PROJECT: CREATING TEXTURES IN PHOTOSHOP!

I keep changing and  adding my textures onto my Resident Evil water well. This started as my favorite, but I can't begin to tell you which is. My Jungle Book 2016 is pretty fun to make, and much easier to apply (now that I got the hang of creating textures in photoshop and importing back to Maya). I'm actually considering adding an Ambient Occlusions to these wells so it'll give it more shade and depth. EVEN AFTER I RENDER THESE IN MARESET! Can't wait!

CONT. WATER WELL PROJECT: MARIO GALAXY THEME!

Here's a work in progress of my Mario Galaxy water well, and I little of my Resident Evil. I am now importing my UV snapshots into Photoshop and painting my textures FREE-HANDED, so it's pretty fun to see what you're capable of in literally creating your own textures. I wanted to go a little different this time though. I didn't want the typical brick well, so I figured, "why not use a pipe!?" I thought and I thought and I thought what could possibly FIT into the world of Mario Galaxy, and I love the idea of the Toad heads (spots), and Yoshi encounters, and the grass of the Mario world. So I figured I'd incorporate all in which onto this well. Does it scream Mario to you? Hope it does.

INTRO TO FINAL PROJECT: UV UNWRAPPING A WATER WELL!

Hiya again! We've been introduced to our new and FINAL project for the quarter. Professor given us an OBJ file of a Water Well that we have to UV unwrap and texture: only THIS time, we have the capability to choose from 3 categories: a cartoonish game, an realistic game, and a film or our choice. So in time, I decided with  Mario Galaxy, Resident Evil, and Jungle Book (2016, Cinema 4D). Here's my UV snapshot in Maya , along with my reference sheet for the three themes of my wells.
